Our Studio

We are located on the square in downtown Tecumseh. Our studio is on the ground level and in the same office as Burrows Tracts Real Estate (261 Clay Street). Our doors open for class 20 minutes prior to the scheduled time to allow you to settle in before class starts. You can enjoy mindful community, or take advantage of the studio space and wifi while you wait.

Class Begins

Hang your coat on the rack and head to the back of the office to access the yoga studio.  Shelves in the entryway are there for your shoes and belongings. We provide mats and props - though you are welcome to bring your own. All cell phones are asked to be turned on silent mode.

Once class starts a do not disturb sign will be placed on the outer door. The doors will then be locked to help ensure an uninterrupted session. If you happen to be late and see the sign, don't worry we will be happy to get you into the next available class.

The restroom is located in the front office. Feel free to access it at anytime, just be mindful of other yogis if you need to access it mid session.

I hope you will feel this space is your own and welcome any suggestions to help improve your yoga experience.

What to expect

New to yoga?

I can’t wait to have you join us! Unsure what to bring or wear to your first class? Clothing choice doesn’t matter too much, so long as it isn’t too loose and not too tight/can withhold stretching. Most men wear baggy gym shorts/sweatpants with a t-shirt. Women often wear workout leggings/sweatpants with a t-shirt or sports wear top. Please let your instructor know if you have any injuries. We recommend bringing a water bottle to class. Props and mats are provided for use but feel free to bring yours if you would like, and your yoga mat.

Sound Bath Sessions

You  don't need any special clothing or equipment for a sound bath, but you should wear comfortable clothes. In group settings, you'll likely sit or lay in a chosen position adjacent to the instructor and others in  the room. We provide a yoga mat, blanket , bolster and lavender eye pillows for the session but feel free to bring your own. As the goal is to be completely comfortable and relaxed.

(Virtual sound baths can offer the same  benefits as a session in a physical room. However, the experience won't  be exactly the same, because if you are in a room with musical  instruments, you experience the vibration that comes off of them.)

Outer Beauty, Inner Calm

The yoga pose is not the goal. Becoming flexible or standing on your hands is not the goal. The goal is to create a space where you were once stuck. To unveil layers of protection you’ve built around your heart. To appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and noise it creates. To make peace with who you are. The goal is to love,..well, you.
